Sherrill SAMIS Obituary
SHERRILL ANNE SAMIS was born on November 23, 1936, the only daughter of Douglas and Jean MacDonald. Graduate of West Van High School in 1954 and UBC (BEd) in 1958. Member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, Delta Zeta Chapter. Survived by her brother, Gregg, of Salt Spring Island; daughter, Karen (Dennis O'Hanley) of Kingston; sons, Michael (Aili) of Toronto and David of Vancouver; 4 grandsons; Ryan and Graeme O'Hanley, Bruce Samis and Tao Samis-Violini; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert in 1975; and her younger brother, Brock. While raising her children, Sherrill dedicated many hours to her community as a volunteer. Sherrill died in hospice on March 29, 2018. Donations to the BC Cancer Society or the charity of your choice greatly appreciated. No service as requested.
