WILLIAM MARKLAND MOLSON
WILLIAM MARKLAND MOLSON Son of John Henry Molson and Hazel Florence (nee Brown)
Died peacefully in Calgary on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the age of 85. He was born and lived most of his life in Montreal, Quebec. He is survived by his wife Gail (Riley), sons William (Barbara), Ian (Verena), Christopher (Nancy), daughters Natalie (Gabriel), Claudine (Alex) and stepchildren Debbie (Dennis), Jay (Terrie), Marck (Susan), and Julie (D'Arcy). .He is also survived by his sister Mary (James Iversen) and brothers David (Clare) and Peter (Sylvie). He will be greatly missed by his eleven grandchildren and eight step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his eldest son John Markland (Janice). He served with distinction throughout the Second World War as a member of the Black Watch Regiment. In addition to a successful carreer as an independant stock broker, he served on numerous charitable Boards, including the Montreal Children's Hospital and the St. John Ambulance of Canada where he held the office of President for several years. He was a warm and considerate man who will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and generous nature. A private family service will be held in Montreal. Donations in his memory may be made to the Montreal Childrens Hospital Foundation (514) 934-4846).
