Elisabeth SCHUMANN

Content with her life and ready, Elisabeth Schumann died peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Peter, in 2014. Cherished mother of Barbara Yeats (Paul Robins) of Ottawa, and Chris Carter (Pete). Daughter of the late Franz and Anna Breunig. Sister of Josef Breunig (Gabriele) in Germany. Predeceased by her siblings, Herman Breunig (Germany), Margareta Breunig (Germany) and Augusta Shelton (Florida). Always generous with her time, she was an active volunteer all of her life with the Girl Guides, Meals on Wheels, St. Anthony Daniel Church and the Women's Auxiliary at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener for many years. She was also eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. The family would like to thank her friends for their years of support and friendship, especially Gerda, Irene, Marilyn, Pilar, Dr. Ayling Wang, the Scherf's, the Wilhelm's and those from St. Anthony Daniel Church. The kindness and compassion shown to her by the caregivers at Winston Park (Kitchener), Orchard Walk (Manotick), and Osgoode Care Centre (Metcalfe) has been sincerely appreciated.
