Peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 12, 2022, the day before her 82nd birthday. Esther was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Beloved wife of Ohmer Jantzi for 62 years. Dear mother of Merlin (Darlene) Jantzi, Norma (David) Schmidt, Earl (Darcee) Jantzi, Harold (Michelle) Jantzi, Ronald Jantzi, David (Josie) Jantzi, Barbara (Elam) Martin, Rosanna Jantzi, and Edgar (Ginalyn) Jantzi. Special grandmother of Rachel, Maria Jantzi, Delores (Nathan), Walter (Miriam), Dorothy, Verna, Wilfred (Dorcas), Kathryn (Trevor), Roger, Charlotte (Michael), Richard Schmidt, Angelica (Dawson), Marcel, Vincent, Abigail, Colton, Cedric Jantzi, Denise, Andrew, Emily, Nicholas, Gerald, Stanley, Jordan, Sherilyn, Sheila, Neil, Shannon Martin, Miya, Michael Jantzi. Great-grandmother of Jayden, Alayna, Kyson, Serenity, Malaya Schmidt, Naamah, Isaiah, Keilah, Zibiah, Jephthah Gerber, Carson, Hailey Gerber. Also remembered by her brothers Norman (Amy) Zehr, Elmer (Ethel) Zehr and Alma Zehr. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Moses and Fannie (Lichty) Zehr, her daughter Marlene in infancy, brothers and sisters John (Esther and Mary) Zehr, Emma (Allan Wagler), Mary (Amos) Gerber, Laura (Elmer) Jantzi, Jacob Zehr, brothers and sisters in-law Joe (Vera) Jantzi, Dan Kuepfer, Ruth (Laverne) Jantzi, Ruth Jantzi, Irvin (Ellen) Jantzi. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley on Monday from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, 4831 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. The Ministry of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church to officiate.
