John FORESTER Obituary

Passed away at home on Friday, December 9, 2022, in his 78th year. Born to Anne and Harry Forester on December 5, 1945. Beloved husband of 40 years to Joan Forester. Loving father of Brent (Carolee: BDE), Dwayne (Cecil), Tracy (Steve), Jeffery, Hal "Bub" (Sandra), and the late Johnathan. Proud grandfather of eight, as well as the great-grandfather of three. Dear brother of Wayne and the late Nancy (Ross). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. John will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors. Right up until his passing, he could be found woodworking in his shop (not-so-purfikt shop). John was loved by about 99.9% of those who met him, and maybe 0.1% didn't, but that was their problem. He could be best friends with just about everyone. Friends and family meant the world to him. He was the best they get. Many thanks to the lovely caring staff at RVH, Toronto Western Hospital, Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Huntsville District Memorial Hospital, and a special mention to Closing the Gap for their exceptional care. As per John's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation, Toronto Western Hospital's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Fund, Parkinson's Canada, or Ducks Unlimited, would be greatly appreciated and can be arranged online, or through Reynolds Funeral Home. A private family service has taken place, and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
