KOVACEVIC, Dusan - It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Dusan on the evening of February 18th, 2022, at St. Joseph's Health Care, Hamilton, in his 83rd year, and after a courageous battle with health issues developed in his latter years. We remember his life with gratitude as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, neighbour and friend. Dusan was born on April 25th, 1938, in the former Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada in 1959. Son of Petar and Bojana, brother to Milka and Milan, husband to Andja (née Bursac), father of Petar, Diana and Milan. Grandfather to Alessandro, Michael, Matteo, Jade, Leandro, Massimo and great-grandfather to Leona. Uncle to Dujo, Mira, Radojka, Vesna and Mira.
Dusan lived a full and active life. He was a fine tradesman, mastering his craft in cabinetry and carpentry. His true passion however was anything and everything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He would later put his trade skills to use where he helped in the construction of a hunter's cottage for the Serbian Hunter's Club and where he actively served on the Board for many years. Special thanks to all healthcare professionals and Dr. Bibic and her office staff for their expert treatment and compassionate dedication to his quality of life.
