Helmut Julius Dartsch

1934 - 2021

Passed away peacefully, on August 28, 2021. He was born in a German community in Poland on July 8, 1934 and immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario in 1959 where he worked at Stelco for over 30 years. Loving husband to Eileen Dartsch and father to Raymond (Mary-Ellen), David (predeceased) and Shawn (Melissa). He was a proud grandfather of Maia, Alex, Sophie, Julia, Isabel, Thomas and William. Brother to Elisabeth, Rudolf, Adolf and Erwin. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Bertha. He will be dearly missed and remembered as a gifted handyman and for his quiet humility and helpfulness towards others. Helmut now rests with the Lord his saviour. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 12 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Seating is limited. Please contact family for availability. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
