June BARRETT Obituary

Daughter of Harry and Mazie Barrett, sister of Virginia and Carol Barrett. I left here on May 19, 2023 to be with Jesus in Heaven.

"Face to face with
Christ my Saviour,
face to face to see and know,
face to face in all His Glory,
Jesus Christ who loves me so."
"What wonders await us
in yonder fair land!
The face of our Saviour,
the touch of His hand,
no tears and no crying,
no sigh or despair,
for Jesus is waiting to
welcome us there."

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Miss Barrett was a fixture at Glenview - cherishing that Grade 1 role long enough to teach multiple generations in Aldershot. She taught both mother and daughter for some of my childhood friends. Trudy (if you check again) - don't know if you'll remember my name, but you taught me in Grade 2 and you were one of my favourite teachers. Nice to see the community still hangs together! June has created a legacy through her formal teaching career and also through her informal personal relationships. She truly has shaped our community for the better!

I knew her Auntie June, she and my mother taught together at Glenview. I remember my mother trying to make me understand that at school my Grade one teacher was Miss Barrett... I kept telling her no, it´s Auntie June !

If I am not mistaken, this beautiful lady taught at Glenview Public School with me. My name is Trudy Wickens and I got to know dear June over the five years that I taught there. She was a delight and her faith was strong and she loved Jesus. God bless her soul.
