It is with tremendous love and sorrow, that the family of Michael Heaven announce his peaceful passing at his home in North Vancouver on May 3, 2021, at age 61, after a five-year courageous battle with a rare and aggressive cancer. Michael leaves behind his loving family. He is survived by his adoring wife of 38 years, Roberta; daughter Laura and husband Zach; daughter Marissa and partner Manuel, and daughter Jessica.
Michael was born the eldest of three children of Mrs. Ann Pratt (nee Robinson) and Rev. Ted Heaven. Michael is survived by his proud parents, Ann and her late husband, Dave Pratt, and Ted and his wife Carol, his sister Ruth and her husband Chris Mildon, his brother Mark and his wife Lori Heaven, and nephews James and Michael Mildon, and niece, Kiera Heaven, and sister-in-law, Barbara Burns. After graduating from high school, Michael attended Royal Roads Military College, and then McMaster University, where he received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree, and Professional Engineer designation before going on to study for his Master's in Biomedical Engineering. Michael later obtained his MBA from Queen's University and went on to study to be an executive coach. Michael had a very successful and diversified career, holding positions from Automation Engineer, Marketing Director, General Manager, COO to CEO and was the author of twenty patents spanning several fields of industry.

Through his battle with cancer, he shared his experience and research, advocating for cancer awareness and helping others whenever possible. Michael will be so greatly missed by his loving family, relatives, friends and colleagues.
Condolences may be offered to the family via an online memorial page at www.mckenziefuneralservice.com.
A celebration of life service is being planned virtually in the next few weeks via the above site as well as a private family service will be held in Haliburton once Covid restrictions permit. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to plant a tree in his memory is welcomed.
