An amazing OECTA president, an amazing teacher and an amazing and very capable person.....If we counted the number of teachers that he actually helped out, the list would be endless...My sympathies to his family!

Richard/ "Mr. Brock",
The mere mentioning of his name made us think of the great times we had as students at St. James. There are some legendary (e.g. sandwich/lunch) stories of him as a larger than life teacher. Although he never taught either of us, we still had fond memories of him. He was a great disciplinarian for me as a young boy - that is how he taught me. I remembered how welcoming and proud he was when I first ran (and when other former students ran) for trustee. He was always proud of his extended (student) family. Natalie and family... take comfort knowing he is now in the loving embrace of our Father in paradise, free from earthly crosses. We pray for him and for you. May perpetual light shine upon him as he rests in peace.

Natalie and family,

Please accept my sincere condolences. I have many great memories of time spent with you and Richard during our AGM days. The Halton Elementary unit of OECTA was so welcoming under his leadership. I was new to the province and just starting my career so I very much appreciated the unit outreach, new teacher workshops and the many social events. I remember hearing about the level of representation he offered to members and recall a sense of relief when he answered my call for support during the Labour Day weekend. He will be remembered for his dedication to Catholic Education and his commitment to his members.

I was so very sorry to hear about the passing of Richard. I worked along side of him as treasurer of Halton OECTA for many years. I also called him my friend. He was a very dedicated and passionate president and was very supportive of his teachers and helped so many of them. Richard built up our association from a one room classroom to the vibrant one it is today.
Natalie and Jonathan, please except my sincerest condolences.
Love,
Judy Sloan
