I was just remembering Andrew this evening. I was thinking about how I love to collect acorns. I am fascinated by their shape and beauty. Then it got me to thinking back to a hair clip with acorn tops on it that Andrew made for me at Boys Camp in 1993. I cherished it for many years. So, I decided to see if I could reconnect with Andrew after all these years. I did a Google search and I came across his obituary!! What a shock! Andrew and I met at Ontario Pioneer Camp during our LIT year in 1993. We dated long-distance in our grade 12 year and we wrote many letters of correspondence back and forth from Toronto to Ottawa. What an amazing friend Andrew was. Gentle. Kind. Creative. Artistic. Wacky in a fun way. Loved beauty and life. We will miss him.

Andrew's talent and most certainly his smiling face will be remembered. Such a tragedy comes as a shock to me as I'm sure it does to all of you, but a kinder person is hard to come by in this life and it was a pleasure to have known him. At Waterloo we all spent so much time together we really did feel like family. I wish you the comfort of loving embraces as you mourn Andrew's passing, but remember all the love he has given.
