BLANCHE YOUNG-LESLIE Obituary

BLANCHE ELIZABETH ANN YOUNG-LESLIE (nee MORNING) After passing away peacefully on April 1, 2017, Blanche is survived by daughters Heather and Su (Randy), son Dave (Diane), grandchildren Ceilidh, Dane and Teslin, dear brother Jim and Nan (Grant), who was more like a sister than a cousin. Hailing from a large family, Blanche leaves behind many well-loved cousins. She was like a mom to her adored nieces and nephews, and had an extended family of lifelong friends. We all like to think that Blanche and Thom are once again dancing together. A strong member of Ontario's curling community, Blanche just celebrated her 84th birthday in her usual fashion: curling in the Senior Ladies' International Curling Club's annual competition at Château Montebello, where her team won a trophy. Blanche's children invite you to join them in a celebration of her radiant life and her love of curling, dancing, auto racing, cooking, glamorous fashion, laughter, family and friendships at the Ballantrae Golf and Country Club Recreation Centre, Friday, April 7th, 4 to 8 p.m. All are encouraged to wear something sparkly. In lieu of flowers, Blanche's family thanks you for considering registering to be an organ donor and a donation to the charity of your choice. Remembrances of Blanche's life may be made at www.DixonGarland.com and on her Facebook page.
