Bruce Craig Obituary

CRAIG, Bruce Lloyd —

October 30, 1951 - July 29, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife Kari, sister Brenda Wright and nephew Andrew. He was predeceased by his parents George and Hazel Craig and his beloved nephew Peter. Bruce survived many medical battles over the years with great courage and optimism, but he lost the fight this time. Bruce had a very warm and generous nature. He made friends wherever he went and will be sorely missed by all.

Thank you All Night: for you humorous limericks, entertaining with music and magic tricks and of course years of carving the turkey in your blinking Christmas sweater - to mention just a few of our many favourite memories of you. Your strength in fighting your health battles over the years is an inspiration to us. We miss you and please know you will always be remembered in our happy thoughts. Love Bev, Lance and Dave

When I told one of our mutual friends of Bruce's passing, he said this is a call he expected many years ago. That only speaks to the determination and strong will of All Nite Bruce. Bruce and Kari always looked after our dog, Bert, when we were on vacation which gave us great peace of mind to be in such good hands. He could always find humour in his own situations no matter how dire his own personal health challenges. Bruce handled all aspects of his life with a vengeance, Kari and family, Kayla & Bela, friendships, music and golf. He will be missed.

We are so lucky to have known Bruce, someone who makes saying goodbye so very difficult.

Bruce was truly a one of a kind. He faced his difficult road with grace and humour and kept fighting the good fight until it was time for him to go. We will always love and miss him. Rest easy our dear friend. Karla and Gary

I remember my cousin Bruce at my Mom and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary, celebrated in Winfield, B.C.. He entertained the little kids on the trampoline and they thought that he was wonderful. You are missed Bruce.

I'm saying goodbye to another time when my dad and his dad were lifelong childhood best buddies growing up in Rossland, B.C. and Bruce was named for my dad. I miss those dad's so much and while I didn't know Bruce Craig I knew his life through his father and my family. I met both him and his sister when I went to TO in '64 to see the Beatles and stayed with George and Hazel and of course those 2 little kids. I am sad to lose those that were part of my early life. Miss his Dad George and miss knowing that Bruce will no longer be wearing his dad's trademark yellow sweaters. Always so proud that Bruce was named after my wonderful dad

We'll miss him at the Depot. His friends at the desk for his always shared depth of knowledge, and I'm sure his customers for his interest in what's going on. Opinionated perhaps, but always honest and to the point. I will miss you Bruce.

When you think of a fighter, you think of someone very big with an attitude. Bruce did not fit this stereotype. He was a fighter though in every sense of the word. I will miss his "hi hi" telephone greeting on the telephone. Mom Kessler

Sadly i learned that I lost another old Bud today.

All Night Bruce, as he was lovingly known, was the unofficial Mayor of Wellesleyville. Bruce could be described as a real character. He introduced me to the music of Willie P. bennett and Sneezy Waters. He was a Master Projectionist when the world needed them. A gentle mam with a love for his friends and a cold Labatt's Blue. I have not seen him in quite a while but my recollections always produce a smile. He was intelligent, funny, talented, considerate, honest, tolerant and gentle. He fought a long battle with cancer and gave his best. The world will be a bit poorer tonight.

Rest in Peace mi Amigo. Salud

Bruce was indeed generous and warm, relaxed, bright, grateful for life's blessings, Kari especially, and somehow always able to relate to whomever shared his time and space. Peg and I were touched by him in positive ways over many decades and yes, we'll miss him.
