BURNHAM, DAVID Died peacefully at home on August 28, 2022 in his 80th year. Devoted husband to the late Esther Gartner. Beloved father to Emily. Doting grandad to Spencer. Survived by his siblings, Mavis, Ron (Carol); and sister-in-law, Veronica. Predeceased by his sister, Jackie and her husband, Roy Tracy; his brother, Bob; and his nephews, Don and Gary Tracy. Leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Harvey, Barbara, Diane, Robert (Charlotte), Glen (Mary), Steve (Sheila), Linda, Simone and Sherry. Also will be missed by many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. Dave worked for 40 years as a recording engineer with CBC Radio Music. He also made freelance recordings, and was widely respected among orchestral, choral, chamber groups and solo musicians throughout Ontario and beyond. He was an avid collector of 78s and built one of the largest private collections in Canada. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr's. Stephen Cord and Russell Goldman, and nurse, Michelle Williams, as well as the countless other members of the team who allowed Dave to remain at home the past year. Visitation will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.) on Thursday, September 1st from 5-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Reception. Entombment at Prospect Cemetery. In memoriam, donations to the Temmy Latner Center for Palliative Care would be appreciated.
