ERIKA KISS Obituary

KISS, ERIKA AGNES (nee SCHERMANN) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Erika Kiss, in her 89th year, at The Village of Humber Heights in Toronto. Predeceased by her husband, Tony (Antal). Together, they arrived in Canada from Hungary in 1956, where they started a new life, marrying a year later in 1957. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Noemi (Chellew). Survived by her son-in-law, Greg; her daughter, Leila (Altseimer) and husband, Frank; and son, Thomas and wife, Francine. She will be missed by her four granddaughters, Amanda, Kaily, Carley and Dayna; and by her five great-grandchildren. Anyu is now in Heaven with Apu and Noemi, having a glass of palinka. A private Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date.

A strong, kind, compassionate woman. Erika always greeted me warmly, asked questions on how I was doing and listened with love. She had beautiful energy and this energy spread to so many.

The Chellew - McMullen families send their deepest condolences to the Kiss family. We have very fond memories of the wonderful visits that were shared between our families. Erika was a lovely , kind and thoughtful woman. She was dearly loved by many and will be missed.

She always had a beautiful smile and was so sweet and welcoming. I loved her laugh and hugs. I will miss her terribly but I know she is in a good place with the family having a grand old time. I love you Nagymama!!!
