Harold RAVEN Obituary

RAVEN, Harold - It is with broken hearts, shock, and indescribable devastation that we announce the sudden passing of Harold on Friday, February 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (three lights west of Dufferin) for service on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the Community section of Pardes Chaim Cemetery. Shiva at 80 Antibes Drive, No. 1204. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, 416-489-7111.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Harold but I know you always spoke well of him and how good a father he was. Just know I am thinking of you at this time. I hope your good memories sustain you at this sad time. My deepest sympathies.

To the family of Harold, I am a friend of the Hannons and have had the pleasure of spending several occasions with Harold , through the Hannons. What a lovely man, kind and wise , humble and sweet. This is a huge loss for Gerry and Linda, but although heartbroken, they are grateful for the privilege of having had Harold in their lives for so many years. My condolences to the family. Harold,Gerry, Dave and I spent many happy hours together in St.Laurent. We last met as a group one summer a few years ago in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It was nice to get together after all those years.
Sorrow is momentary, but love and good memories last forever.

I remember endless pick-up hockey games fifty years ago and more played in below-zero weather on the outdoor rink at Poirier Park in St. Laurent across from Harold's house. Harold was a gifted athlete and a very good friend in those long-ago days.

Deepest sympathies to the family on your tragic loss.
