YOUNG, Captain Hubert (Bert) Bertram - Formerly of Montreal, died in Toronto, on April 15, 2014. Born in Codroy, Newfoundland. Loving and devoted husband of Thelma A. Young (Hines). Greatly missed by his son Robert (Pamela), grandchildren Alyson, Matthew (Allison) and great-granddaughter Bentley. A memorial service will be held at Kensington Gardens, 25 Brunswick Avenue, Toronto, on Friday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Bert's memory may be made to the Kensington Foundation (www.kensingtonhealth.org).

Bert was a great friend to me as a young man just starting out in the shipping business many years ago in Montreal. I enjoyed visiting with him and Thelma at their home in Lasalle, QC. In later years I enjoyed talking to Bert on the phone as he was always interested in the latest news from the Lakes. I offer Bob and his family our condolences.

Dear Thelma & Bob,
So sorry to hear of Bert's passing. He was a great guy and we liked him a lot. He enjoyed reading his bible, hope he is now at peace.
