James BORTHWICK Obituary

BORTHWICK, James Norman Suddenly, with family at his side, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Rouge Valley Centenary in his 92nd year. Dear husband of Cecelia for 59 years. Loving father to the late Christine and Michael and his wife Wendy Brandstatt. Cherished "Pops" to Caitlin and Em. Predeceased by his siblings: Robert, Lorraine, Isabel, Madge and Bill. James will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may visit on Sunday, January 14th from 2-5 p.m. at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East (just east of Kingston Road). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4179 Lawrence Avenue East, on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 12 noon. Cremation to follow. Interment, Christ the King Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by our family. Condolences – giffenmackscarborough.com

Michael, we were so sorry to learn of your father's passing. I only met him once but his greeting was so very warm. He told me he was happy to meet 'family,' and gave me a huge hug! I enjoyed the pictures too, even though I only recognized your father, but I could figure out the rest of your immediate family.
