JOHN YUILL Obituary

JOHN YUILL John has "slipped the surly bonds of earth... to put out his hand and touch the face of God". He was 77 years old and died on May 24, 2015 following an accident on May 19th. His family misses him yet we rest in the assurance that we shall see him again in heaven. He leaves Pat, his wife of 47 years, daughters Amanda, Cindy and her husband Scott and his son Mathieu and his wife Alison. He loved his 5 grandchildren: Connor, Ainsley, Isaac, Morgan and Emmett. They loved playing hide-and-go-seek with him. Thank you to Dr. Pronovost and the wonderful staff at St. Michael's Hospital TNICU for the excellent care you gave him during his last week on earth. Visitation is at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Ave. (north of Hwy. 7), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, May 29th. Interment at Highland Memory Gardens will take place at 11 a.m. The funeral will be at the Peoples Church, 374 Sheppard Ave. E., 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th. Reception to follow in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to a charity of your choice or to Mission Aviation Fellowship at mafc.org

I met your Dad over 50 years ago at church. He became my very close friend and that friendship lasted all our lives. Met with your Dad and Mom last year for lunch, we had a very long and good time together with lots of laughter. I expected that we would continue to meet every few years (as we had been doing for some time), when I could travel to Toronto, until we were well into our 80s or 90s. I am lost without him in a way few can understand he was my comrade, special lifelong friend, confidant, unique special brother, and my history. I loved your Dad John and will always have an emptiness that cannot be filled. Garry
