Karen was the first love of my life back in 1967 in Toronto. Even then, her love of cooking was renowned and she was a wonderful and loyal friend who enjoyed life. I am saddened by her passing.

I met Karen at Classical ballet Studio in the eighties. At that time we were taking 2 to 3 ballet classes a week together. On occasions I would go for dinner to enjoy her gourmet cooking. I also remember how much Karen loved decorating her home here in Ottawa for the Christmas season. I have many fond memories of times we spent together.

Karen was such a strong, kind, fun-loving woman. I miss her dry sense of humour and her laugh. Rest in peace Karen.

Karen was a new friend who has been supporting me with my battle with cancer. Her strength and gung-ho attitude has helped me fight my battle. She will forever be in my thoughts. Michelle sims (victoria, bc)
