Ms. Francis was my grade two teacher. My friends and I still reminisce about that year. She was my favourite teacher in elementary and she will be missed. My heart goes out to her family.

To the Family of Marilyn Francis:
My husband Allan and I send your heartfelt sympathy on the death of your sister and Aunt, Marilyn.
I grew up in Parkdale Baptist Church and got to know Marilyn then. Allan and I belonged to BYPU and enjoyed a wonderul friendship with Marilyn during that time.
We ceconnected with Marilyn a few years ago through a mutual friend, Donna Willet.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each one of you at this sad time in your lives.
Sincerly and with prayers:

Oh my gosh, I am so speechless. There are so many things that could be said about Auntie that would never fit here. I will bet you never knew that she co-signed for my very first car/loan. Yes a 79' Ford Pinto, imagine that! She used to drag our butts to Sunday School every Sunday whether we liked it or not all 8 of us on the street car to Parkdale Baptist Church. To see the Christmas lights and dressed up windows downtown with Xmas themes, Santa Claus Parade every year, Movies, theatre plays, picnics at centre Island, High park, the zoo. It goes on...I am proud to have such a person in my life and she will be missed so much by many. I already feel lost, as Marilyn has been a role model for me in many ways. I truly believe that is what has helped me make it this far. Her work ethics and values go far. I guess we could thank Grannie for that! I love you Marilyn, now it is time for you to be with your mom and brother again (Grannie & Orville). Marilyn the tree will be up for you to come see as every year. Luv you.
Cheryl and Julian. XOXOXO

I was shocked and very saddened by the news of the passing of Marilyn. I will forever cherish her motherly advice, which she would give to me so freely, during the brief talks, we had on the playground at our place of work. May you rest in eternal peace, knowing that you have touch so many of your colleagues and children that you have worked with. My sincerest condolences to her family.

Remember Marilyn fondly from her time at Parkdale Baptist Church. Always busy, quiet, humble but ALWAYS smiling. The world was a better place because Marilyn was here.

Inspirational to many as a teacher, sister, aunt, and friend.
Your kind hearted nature and no nonsense attitude will be greatly missed.
Thank you for being a grounded centre in our family and one of the people that held it all together for so many of us.
We love you Auntie and will never forget you no matter how much time passes.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

A wonderful lady has found her way Home to Heaven, I spent many Sunday Lunches with Marilyn and the 8 Nieces and nephews after church. We had a good many laughs together.

My prayers are with all the family - I have many great memories of Marilyn when I was a young girl growing up at Parkdale Baptist Church - she was a great encouragement to our family. I remember her bringing all her nieces and nephews to Sunday School as many Sundays as she could.
She also attended my mothers funeral a few years back and she slipped out quietly and we were saddened not to have had the chance to speak with her.
I know she is missed.
