BOGLE, NIGEL BRUDNELL It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our father, Nigel Brudnell Bogle, who passed away at Kingston General Hospital, in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 1, 2023, following a short illness. Dad spent the last few days being reminded of the many people and family members who loved him. He left this earth with his four children by his side. He was 92. Nigel is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (née McQuillan), of 60 years; their children, Catherine (Jay MacWilliam), Alison (Arthur Milnes), Pauline and Clayton (Jennifer Mortensen); and his grandchildren, Connor, Mason, Declan, Aiden and Robbie. He will be missed terribly by his devoted sister, Roma. Nigel was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, and set out for a new life in Canada in the 1950s. Nigel boarded a plane for Toronto with other adventure seekers, including his friend, Tony, no doubt filled with thoughts of exciting times to come. The pair continued the conversation they started on the way to Canada through seven decades, speaking weekly on the phone, until both were hospitalized last month. Nigel will be remembered by lifelong friends, Pat and Weldon (Belleville), Gordie and Joanne (Scotland), and so many others. Nigel remained devoted to Mary through her decline and made very special friends at mom's residence, Extendicare Kingston, including Courtney, Jasmine, Liz and George. Nigel's family are grateful to his loving caregivers in recent years. PSWs, Delcey, Natalie and Brittany; companion, Diane; Ken, Jonathan and the team at HULPR Inc., and the attentive VON drivers who helped dad live with dignity along the way. Our family would like to express their thanks to the caring and compassionate team at KGH. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on April 14, 2023, at St. Joseph Parish, Kingston, Ontario, with reception to follow.
