RUDY JANOSCIK Obituary
RUDY JANOSCIK It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Rudy. Rudy passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on November 7, 2015. Rudy was born in Czechoslovakia to John and Anna on January 30, 1945. He escaped the communist regime as a young boy in the mid-1950s and thereafter lived in an Austrian refugee camp before arriving in Canada as a refugee. He went on to complete his education in his new country, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Toronto. Rudy was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1972. He and his brother, Joseph, formed the firm of Janoscik and Janoscik in Toronto in the same year where they practiced law together for over 25 years. Rudy's memory will be treasured by his only child, Jason, his daughter-in-law, Ulrike, and 8-month old grandson, Jakob. Jason, Ulrike and Jakob all live in Germany, and Rudy had been blessed with the opportunity to meet little Jakob for the first time just three weeks before his passing. Rudy is also survived by his mother, Anna; brothers, Joseph (Ann-Marie) and Edward; nieces, Julie (Bill) and Tamara (Ted); nephew, Geoffrey (Nina) and five great-nieces and nephews: Kate, William, Brooke, Jonathan and Leo. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rudy's memory at a visitation to be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Turner & Porter Funeral Home, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga and Funeral Mass on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Slovak Roman Catholic Church, 5255 Thornwood Dr., Mississauga.
