STAN McKELVEY Obituary

McKELVEY, STAN Stan McKelvey, age 85, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Stan was born in Toronto, Ontario, on November 21, 1936. He was a proud member of the Toronto Fire Department beginning his career as a fire fighter in 1961 and retired in 1996 as District Chief with over 35 years of dedicated service. Stan is survived by Lilian, his beloved wife of 61 years; his children, Scott (Laura), Sherri and Wendy (Craig); 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Family, friends, and others whose lives Stan touched are invited to the Highland Funeral Home Markham Chapel, 10 Cachet Woods, Markham, ON, on Saturday, September 10, 2022. A Memorial visitation will start at noon, with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 1:00, to be followed by a Reception from 2:00 - 4:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Stan be directed to the "Palliative Care Unit" in care of The Sunnybrook Foundation. My deepest condolences to Lilian and the family.
I have such fond memories of Stan (and Lil) growing up. Stan and his family were a part of our `firefighting´ family and our circle was big and grand.

Dear Lilian, Scott, Sherri, Wendy and Family

We were sorry to hear of Stan's passing. He was a wonderful guy and loved by everyone. Stan enjoyed spending time with Lilian, his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Who he dearly loved. Our family has lost another great guy. Heaven has gained another angel. Stan will be missed by everyone.
