Vladimir TYLAK Obituary

TYLAK, Vladimir "Wally" July 19, 1947 - August 29, 2022 It is with a broken heart that Carol announces the passing of her lifelong companion, Wally, after a long illness. He will be greatly missed by Carol, his wife of 53 years; his sons, Michael Anthony (Victoria) and Stefan Tadeusz (Priscilla), both of whom he was very proud. He will also be missed by his much-loved grandchildren, Emma, Eli, Julia, and Laura, who were his pride and joy. He leaves behind his loving sister, Barbara; nephew, Matthew James; and was predeceased by his mother, Adela; and father, Tadeusz. Wally will be remembered by his family and friends for his witty sense of humour and passion for hunting and fishing. He was a force to be reckoned with, always doing things his own way. He led a very fulfilling life, both in work and play, and was lucky enough to have done everything on his "bucket list". A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends. It is over a year since my brother left this life on earth which he loved so much even when he was repeatedly suffering with a heart implant that caused much distress. He was always facing life head-on and I admired his strength and vitality. In our adult life we were busy taking care of family and only met infrequently on special occasions; except, when I faced a problem and called him for help and he was always there for me. Some people say he was bigger- than- life and I thought of him like John Wayne because we used to have few words but show of big heart. I still miss him so very dearly. My heart cries but my reason says he could never adjust to being unable to function on his own. I hope life everlasting will allow his spirit to soar like an eagle in the universe. God love him.

Carol and family, so sorry to learn of Wally´s passing. The Gabriele family and Biegas/Tylak´s go back to Bank St. to the early years after we immigrated from Italy in 1954. So many good memories. We always loved hearing Wally´s stories with his fabulous dry sense of humour. He was such a hard worker and a real family man. Although we haven´t seen a lot of him over the last few years we will always remember him. Rest In Peace Wally

I remember Wally when we were kids fishing on the Humber river. Always a leader, never a follower, he was always showing the rest of us the way things should be done.He was independent, resourceful and business oriented even when he was betting on horses.

Uncle Wally was truly one of a kind and he will be greatly missed. Fortunate for us he's left behind a long legacy of stories, jokes, and good memories. He was a presence regardless where he was or who he was with; he was unrelenting and unapologetic in a way that few people have the strength of character to be. He genuinely lived life to its fullest. His loss will certainly be felt by all who knew him.

I was 12 years old when Wally and my sister married. From the outset, Wally showed an interest in me and my younger brother and the four of us had many adventures together all over southern Ontario. Wally took us camping for the first time in our lives and we went fishing and boating on a regular basis, often several consecutive weekends. To a shy, introverted adolescent, Wally inspired confidence and was fearless; he did not suffer fools gladly and was direct and uncompromising. His drive was contagious when it wasn't over the top, he rarely sat still for more than a few minutes. No one in this world is perfect, and neither was he, but he frequently impressed people with his positive outlook. He was a tireless worker who became a successful self-employed business owner. Wally never envied the success of others, choosing his own path in life and living it to the very fullest and to the very end. Rest in peace Wally, you made an impact and you will be missed. Thanks for the memories, your brother-in-law, Ron Biega
