Yuriko Ishida

ISHIDA, Yuriko (Lil) - Peacefully, on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Castleview Wychwood Towers at the age of 87. Devoted wife of the late Yoshiro. Loving mother to Betty Honda of Japan, Dianne Ishida, and Delano and his wife Shelley. Cherished Obachan of Hirofumi Honda (Sumino), Miyako Honda of Japan, Jason and Megan Ishida of Toronto. Lil is survived by her brother Takeshi of Richmond, B.C., and sisters Harumi Kamino (Tom), and Kanako Ikeda (Kenneth) of Toronto, also survived by her sisters-in-law Sumie Matsushita, New Denver, B.C., Mitzi Ishida, Taber, Alberta and brother-in-law Mike Ishida (Yonoko) of Toronto. Predeceased by brothers Shoichi (Spud) and Yasuhiko and sisters Tsuyako, Midori (Flo), Fujiko, Suzuko (Suzie) and Yoko. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto, at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Toronto Buddhist Church.
