Barbara NELSON Obituary

It is with unimaginable sadness I am saying goodbye to my Barbie. My high school sweetheart, my best friend, the absolute love of my life.
For forty five years our love and respect for each other has grown each and every day.
You possessed such compassion and sensitivity for your four amazing children, grandchildren, family and friends, all of whom you loved deeply.

As your beautiful journey on this planet has come to it's end, I can only hope that the crushing heartache we are feeling now will, with time, transform into an even greater love and appreciation for all the wonderful memories we will forever hold in our hearts.

It's been the greatest gift imaginable to have shared this journey with you.

All my Love, forever
Mark

Mark and family, we are heartbroken to hear about Barb. We had the privilege of enjoying many times with her over the years. Barb was always kind and compassionate. One fond memory was when mom and I were each feeding one of the girls, racing to the finish, with Barb laughing and cheering us both on. I'm sure she will be missed my many.

My heart is broken at the loss of my dear friend, Barb. Barb and I met when we were just six years old and in grade one at Sangster Elementary. Eventually, we ended up living in different cities, but kept a lifelong friendship, which was kind, caring, connected and loving. Although we didn´t see each other as often as we would have liked, when we did, it was just like yesterday. I was blessed to have one last visit with Barb before she passed. To witness Mark´s love and caring for her was something to behold. We reminisced, had laughs and giggles, and the two hours felt like fifteen minutes! It is a memory I will always treasure!
My heartfelt condolences go out to Mark, Graham, Daniel, Carly, Taylor, and Family. Mark was Barb´s great love and Barb loved her children and grandchildren so deeply and she was very proud of each of you!
Barb, you will always be in my heart. Goodbye, my dear friend. Love always, Karen.

Mark, Carly, Taylor, Daniel, Graham and family I am so sorry for your loss, your Barb was the best! A wonderful caring, mama bear who has created a beautiful family! We yelled and screamed out hearts out for our girls on the courts and fields like no one else! She will be watching from the stars and traveling afar!

Mark, Graham, Daniel, Carly and Taylor - may the passing of time ease your pain of such a devastating loss. I met Barb when Carly and Taylor started kindergarten along with my daughter, Joanne. The girls soon became best friends as did me and Barb. There was no such thing as a quick drop off for the play dates because Barb and I would get so caught up in conversation. You will be missed Barb, RIP!

Dear Mark, Graham, Daniel, Taylor, Carly, and Family,
I am just so incredibly heartbroken. I have known Barb for almost 47 years (she was my very first friend I met at Dunsmuir in 1976) and even though life has taken us on a different timeline, I have always felt a connection with Barb. I thank FB for reconnecting us for these last few years. Whenever we met up for coffee, we would just carry on our conversations as if we had just spoken the day before. Barb had such a soft, sweet voice but was one of the strongest women I have ever known. She was compassionate, loving, selfless, humble, stubborn and I loved making her laugh because she had the best laugh ever. She LOVED her family fiercely. She was a proud mum, and she absolutely adored her grandbabies. And Mark, you were the love of her life. I am going to miss her every day.
