Bjorn Olsson Obituary

OLSSON, Bjorn
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Bjorn Olsson. We lost a piece of our hearts when the angels came for Bjorn on May 25th, 2023 and took him back to God's Kingdom. Bjorn was born on August 2, 1949 in Glava, Sweden. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Elizabeth Olsson. They found a home on the Saanich Peninsula where they raised their beautiful daughter Cecilia Olsson. Bjorn accomplished many things in life including becoming a welding instructor at Camosun College where he dedicated his time for 30 years. Bjorn and Cecilia sadly lost Elizabeth in 2002. Bjorn was lucky enough to find another great love, Kjellaug Eike. Soon after, Cecilia gave birth to Bjorn's first grandchildren Sebastian and Evelina. Kjellaug and Bjorn married and together made many cherished memories and built an amazing life together. With that came a whole new loud, loving family. Bjorn was able to gracefully embrace the Eikes for the rest of his years. Bjorn gained new children and grandchildren including stepson Johnny and grandsons Conner and Kaleb. Stepson Kevin and wife Pam, grandchildren Annika and Aksel. Step-daughter Kjirsten and spouse Darren, grandchildren Kaden and Keira.
Bjorn will also be sadly missed by his sister Mayvor, brother-in-law Tord, and all remaining family in Sweden.
Bjorn had many titles including Husband, Dad, Stepdad, Father-in-law, Morfar, Papa, Brother, Brother-in-law, and Friend. Bjorn will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.
It will always be me and you until the end, Darling. Until we meet again. - Kjellaug

Dearest Kjellaugh&family
I only knew Bjorn for a short time while he attended the dayprogram in Resthaven Lodge. The time he spent we us was so fun, he was always telling us a story that had a dramatic ending lol. He was kind, thoughtful, and a gentleman. He always wanted to hear our stories, and we always loved how he would give us his advice, he was a straight shooter lol. I was hilarous when he was on the bus he would give me some driving tips...like stick to the back roads it's safer lol..men like Bjorn are few and far between, the moments and memories we had with Bjorn are stamped on our hearts. Much love to you Kjellaugh thank you for sharing your wonderful dear man with us.
