Hello. My name is Jim and I am currently in formation for the diaconate in Wisconsin. I bought a used book on line that was a guide for visiting the sick as part of parish ministry. The name on the inside cover indicates that it originally belonged to Sr. Helen. Although the book is great in its own right, all of the highlighting and hand written notes in the columns make it that much more rich. I suppose her teaching ministry lives on.

Remembering back to the early 50's and my 7th grade teacher at Holy Family, Sister Mary Desmond - rest in peace.

I was taught religion by Sr. Quinn in Secondary I in St. Pius X High School in Montreal. I remember her distributing little red, pocket Gideon New Testaments in which we had to neatly inscribe our names and the date - September 1977. I will always remember her integrity and sincerity as a person. Oh, and I still have (and read) that New Testament. Rest in peace, Sr. Quinn, in the grace of God.

Dear Sisters,
Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers for Sister Helen with whom I taught and lived at Holy Family in Montreal during my first years of profession. Helen was a role model for me as a teacher and companion. Just a month ago on a visit to Victoria, I was blessed with a lovely visit with her in her room and have photos to cherish.

I remember Sr. Helen Quinn as a great teaching companion. She took the younger sisters under her wing and helped them with their class preparations. She was an exemplary religious.

My sincere condolences to Sister Helen Quinn's family and to her sisters in religion. Sister Helen Quinn was a joy to be with. At the time, for a person of her age, she was interested in keeping up on everything. We corresponded by email. This world has lost the earthly presence of a dear friend and a beautiful soul.
