Maria Stella Loglisci

LOGLISCI, Maria Stella With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Stella Loglisci (Salvalaggio) on April 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family and husband of 63 years. Maria leaves behind her adoring husband, Giuseppe and loving children, Tony (Donna), Robert (Angelina), Paul (Corinne) and Lisa; grandchildren, Crystal (Ryan), Daniel, Raquel, Shawn, Jonathan and Julia; great-grandchildren, Kai and Noah; brothers; sister and family in Rome, Italy and many friends in Victoria. Maria was born in Rome, Italy on February 1st, 1932 and moved to Canada in the 1950's as a young bride. Her family was everything to her and she loved her children and their families so very much. Maria adored and spoiled her beautiful grandchildren, sewing special costumes or baking the best bread and pizza in town. Maria was a beautifully skilled seamstress learning her trade in Italy. She would design and sew glamorous gowns and also worked her magic in alterations at Eaton's, Woodward's and Hudson's Bay. Maria always brought a smile to everyone's face with her quick humour and passion for life. She will be truly missed. "Buon viaggio nelle stelle, Maria Stella!" Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 1440 Nelthorpe Street with burial to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
