Mark, Dave & family,
I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your mom and I've just learned how recently you lost your dad, too...my heart goes out to you all.
I hope you can find comfort & healing in the wonderful things being said of your parents and the many memories you have.
With warm regards,

Mark and David:
I remember your parents as the greatest neighbors and friends anyone could hope for. When we were away, they would look after our property. Our grandchildren were always welcomed at their house, to play with the dog or just to stop by and have a treat. I moved to a condo after George died, but occasionally drive down Irvine Ave. for memory's sake. It will never be the same again.
Your mother was one special lady !!!
In sympathy,

Dear Patola Family,
I was so sorry to learn of your mother's death. I have so many fond memories of her. My parents were the Dorm parents when Shirley stayed there while attending high school in Kindersley. Essentially, she was my big sister for four years. She was very special to both of my parents and especially to my Dad. I'm fairly sure he had a nickname for her-but I don't recall what that was.
I remember her as the one with the big smile and the bigger heart. My daughter became a nurse at RUH and had the very good fortune to learn from her skill, dedication and compassion to her patients.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Mark and David,
I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She meant so much to our family during Jillian's diagnoses and treatment of CF. Being included in Patola family events thru Big David helped us get to know your whole family, and see that the love and care she had for CF families was only second to how proud she was of you two. Thinking of you today and wishing we were there, to honour your amazing mom.

We were so sorry to learn of Shirley's passing and want to express our condolences.
She took such delight in all of you. We have not seen you boys since the days when you were swimming as did our three children. She was a wonderful classmate and such a good person to have in this world. She left it a better place.

Dear Patola Family.
Shirley entered our life many years ago as "our C.F. nurse" She soon became a good friend as well. Her genuine caring nature was such a comfort for all her patients and their families. She was a very special lady, who will be missed by all those who knew her, but will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with all of you at this time.
