Hilda Carr

CARR, Hilda (nee Carruthers) Born December 6, 1912 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, died December 18, 2010 in Victoria, a few days after celebrating her 98th birthday. She leaves her loving son Joseph of Victoria. Hilda is predeceased by her husband Cecil in 2000, and her brothers Harry and George. Hilda was a Life Member of the United Church Women, and performed decades of volunteer work. Hilda lived in Duncan for 30 years, and then retired with her husband to their hometown of Nanaimo in 1980. She will be remembered for her ready smile, cheerful greetings, kindness, sense of humor, and always being willing to pitch in when work needed to be done. No service by request.
