Gwendoline Pollock age 90 of Massillon, passed away Sunday morning with her family by her side at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born to the late George & Jane (Bacon) Waterman on July 31, 1917 in Woodham Walter Essex, England. She received nurses training in London. She later married Kenneth O. Pollock on October 10, 1945 in Dovercourt Essex, England. Gwendoline became a naturalized United States citizen on September 20, 1974. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and belonged to the Amicitia Class. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, needlework, camping and singing in the Cardinal Chapter of the Sweet Adelines. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth O. Pollock on April 10, 2004, son Robert Pollock and a brother Wilfred Waterman. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dave J. (Cathie) Pollock of Massillon, Steve K. (Terri) Pollock of Jackson Twp.; daughter and son-in-law, Beth J. (Jeff) Emerick of Tuscarawas Twp.; grandchildren, Craig E. Pollock of Massillon, Erin M. Pollock of Massillon, Kelly T. Pollock of Chicago, Il, Brian S. Pollock of Cincinnati and Becky Emerick of Philadelphia Pa; brother, Fred Waterman of Dovercourt, Essex, England and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services celebrating Gwendoline's life will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. William Harvey officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00PM Interment will follow the services at Newman Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, Ohio 44333. Messages of support and sympathy can be made to the family at arnoldlynch.com.

To Gwen's family: Your Mother was a beautiful person. I knew her when we were in the Cardinal Chapter of Sweet Adelines. Her ideas and sense of humor added so much to our chorus. She always made me laugh and feel good just being with her.
