Butch (Calvin) and Gail West recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at First United Methodist Church in Anchorage on July 20, 1962. After Butch graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 1965, they moved to Wyoming and to Indiana before returning to their home in Alaska.
Butch moved to Alaska in 1952 and graduated from Anchorage High School in 1960. He met Gail in her home town of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Gail traveled to Alaska for the wedding.
They are the proud parents of their son Greg (daughter-in-law Lisa) and granddaughters Sofia and Maia, all of California, and daughter Casie West (son-in-law Jeff Cutler) of Anchorage.
