A Love Worth Waiting For
Natalie Smith and Nile Alexander met each other in middle school, but neither imagined that many years later they would call each other soul mates. As fate would have it, they both ended up in the Atlanta University Center, attending brother & sister schools Morehouse and Spelman colleges. Even then their interactions were random and brief, usually at a party or a quick "hello" at Spelman's signature event, Market Fridays. After graduation, their paths would not cross again for several years.
When they met again at a local gym, the chemistry that sparked was undeniable. The rest, as they say, is history. The happy couple were married on October 5, 2013.
Natalie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Smith, Sr. of southwest Atlanta and Nile is the son of Trinidadian born parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lennison Alexander.
The ceremony was held at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, with Minister John C. Richards officiating.
Natalie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Spelman College and Masters in Public Administration from Georgia State University. She is currently working in Community Affairs at Capital One. Nile has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College and a Masters in Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. He is working with his father leading the family accounting firm.
After a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple will reside in Arlington, VA.
