Jacobs - Griffith AUGUSTA - Caroline Kelly Griffith and James Roland Jacobs were united in marriage at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Most Holy Trinity in Augusta. The Reverend Jacek Szuster officiated. Kelly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thomas Griffith III of Augusta. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin Freville of Louisville, Ky. and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Griffith, Jr. of Nashville, Tenn. She is a 2005 graduate of Westminster Schools of Augusta and a 2010 graduate of Augusta State University with a Bachelors in Marketing where she was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (International Honor Society). She is a member of the Junior League of Augusta and is employed by the Columbia County Board of Commissioners as a Right of Way Specialist. Rody is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Benson Jacobs of Augusta. He is the grandson of Mrs. Francis Martin and the late Mr. Charles Martin of Pass Christian, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jacobs of Augusta. He is a 1999 graduate of Aquinas High School and a 2006 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Landscape Architecture. He is the owner of Jacobs Land Management. Given in marriage by her father, Kelly chose her friends, Tiffany Pate McCabe and Delana Taylor, both of Augusta, to serve as her matron and maid of honor respectively. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Casella, Katie Howell, both of Augusta and sisters of the groom, Angela Griffith, Katie Beavin, both of Nashville, Tenn. and cousins of the bride, Audrey Reville, Ashton Stephenson, both of Augusta, and Brittany Warner of Cape Coral, Fla, all friends of the bride. Rody chose his father to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Casella, Timothy Antonacci, Jeffrey Hall, all of Augusta, Shaun Capuy of Atlanta, Ga., Jonathan Judson of Lincolnton, Ga., Timothy Peek of Athens, Ga., Patrick Schepens of New Orleans, La., all friends of the groom, Vic Casella and George Howell, both of Augusta and brothers-in-law of the groom. The wedding director was Dawn Schlachter and the photographer was Tim Willoughby. The musicians were Nancy Sutton, Ruth Barry, Laura Tomlin, Ryan Kho, Carl Purdy, Fabio Mann and Bart Black. The readers were Marlie Grilli, Mike Hardin and Rick Knoop. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The River Room at St. Paul's Church in Augusta. The newlyweds are honeymooning in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The newlyweds will reside in Augusta, Ga.
