ATHENS, Ga. - Jesse Katherine Greener and Neil Staten Bitting Ill of Atlanta exchanged wedding vows in a beautiful double-ring ceremony Saturday, July 28, at five o'clock in the afternoon at First Presbyterian Church in Athens. The bride's uncle, Reverend Doctor Thomas M. Greener of Fayetteville, N.C., officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Isaac Greener III of Marshall, Virginia.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Staten Bitting Jr. of Augusta.

Music for the ceremony was presented by the bride's brother, William Isaac Greener IV of Warrenton, Virginia, bagpiper, and Dr. John Coble of Athens, organist. Soloist was Kendall Marie Kookogey of Athens.

Travis Jerry Johnson of Atlanta served as best man. Usher-groomsmen were Ryan Brooks Bayersdorfer of San Francisco, California, Edward Garrett Clements, Pearson Kern Cunningham,Jason Patrick Johnston, Blake Anthony Porche, and Bernard Nicholas Tokarz, all of Atlanta, William Woodson Douglas IV of Athens, and Carson Paul Elmore of Brookhaven.

Serving as matrons of honor were the bride's sister, Rebecca Greener Lee of Marietta and Chelsea Briche Scott of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Bridesmaids were Erica Lynn Boyle of Mooresville, N.C., Kristen Elizabeth Burdette of Marietta, Crystal Marie Deuel and Lindsay Beth Jacobs of New York, N.Y., Kelsey Duane MacDonald of Washington, D.C., and Taylor Ann Rudolph of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Hannah Leigh Greener of Warrenton, Virginia, and Campbell McKibben Lee of Marietta, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. William Isaac Greener entertained at a reception honoring the bride and bridegroom at the Hardeman-Sams House in Athens.

All the flowers for the wedding and reception were done by the bride's mother.

Following a wedding trip to Amelia Island, Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Bitting are making their home in Atlanta.

Mr. and Mrs. Staten Bitting Jr. were hosts for a rehearsal dinner honoring Jesse Katherine Greener and Neil Staten Bitting Ill on Friday evening at The Porterhouse Grill in Athens.

The bridegroom's cake was baked by his mother and served following the dinner.

Guests included the wedding party, family, and friends.
