DiPiro - DeBarge CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Maria Nicole DeBarge and Thomas Victor DiPiro were united in marriage at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Chattanooga, Tenn. Father Bertin Glennon officiated. Nicole is the daughter of Dr. L. Raymond and Mrs. Jane DeBarge of Chattanooga, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Eckerd of LaFayette, Ga. and Mr. Raymond DeBarge and the late Mrs. Irene DeBarge of Augusta. Nicole is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BS in Exercise Science, the University of South Carolina with a MS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Applied Physiology and is currently a graduate research assistant and PhD student in Health & Rehabilitation Science at the Medical University of South Carolina. Tom is the son of Drs. Joseph and Cecily DiPiro of Mount Pleasant, S.C., formerly of North Augusta S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Rose Victor and the late Mr. Bernard Victor of Meriden, Conn. and Mr. Joseph DiPiro and the late Mrs. Mary DiPiro of Ansonia, Conn. Tom is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BS in Exercise Science. He will complete an MBA from the Citadel in 2012 and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2013. Given in marriage by her father, Nicole chose her sister, Lauren DeBarge of Atlanta, Ga., to serve as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Anne DiPiro of Atlanta, Ga., sister of the groom, and Mrs. Jordyn Pritchard of Charleston, S.C., friend of the bride. Tom chose his brother, Matthew DiPiro of Atlanta, Ga., to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Christopher DeBarge of Durham, N.C., and Mr. William DeBarge of Chattanooga, Tenn., brothers of the bride. The ushers were Mr. Aled Pritchard of Charleston, S.C., Mr. Christohper Tan of Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Jacob Velky of Charlotte, N.C. and Mr. Paul Willoughby of Richmond, Va., all friends of the bride and groom. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents on October 21, 2011 at Zan Guerry Clubhouse in Chattanooga. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at DeBarge Vineyards in LaFayette, Ga. The newlyweds honeymooned on a Caribbean cruise. The couple resides in Charleston, S.C.
