NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Laura Michelle Duncan and Tyler William Randolph were united in marriage at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in North Augusta, S.C. Dr. Gary C. Redding officiated. Laura is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Duncan of North Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louis Robert Pentecost and the late Mr. Louis Robert Pentecost of Augusta and Mr. Thomas Elwin Duncan and the late Mrs. Thomas Elwin Duncan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Newberry College and her Certificate of Biomedical Science from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently a student. Tyler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Charles Randolph of Trenton, Ga. He is the grandson of Mrs. James William Fischer and the late Mr. James William Fischer of Highland Home, Ala. and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Greenwood Randolph of Western Springs, Ill. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is employed by Exponent as a Consultant. Given in marriage by her parents, Laura chose her sister, Mrs. Kara Duncan Gaylord of Richmond Hill, Ga., to serve as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Tiffany Shamber Bachelder of North Augusta, cousin of the bride, Miss Tiffany Renee Bryan of Aiken, S.C. and Miss Serennah Emily Harding of Montgomery, Ala., friends of the bride. Flower girl was Sara Elizabeth Atkinson of Statesboro, Ga., cousin of the bride. Tyler chose his friend, Mr. Charles Christopher Baker of Atlanta, Ga., to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jason Charles Randolph of Chicago, Ill., Mr. Travis Robert Randolph of Chattanooga, Tenn., brothers of the groom, and Mr. Thomas Brenaman Whitfield of Atlanta, Ga., friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Jeffery Harris Bachelder of North Augusta, cousin of the bride. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Palmetto Terrace in North Augusta. The newlyweds honeymooned in Jamaica. The couple reside in Alameda, Calif.
