AUGUSTA - Allison Reed Mehrhof and Adam Crandall Witherington were united in marriage at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Augusta. Dr. Rodger Murchison officiated. Allison is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Jayne Mehrhof, Jr. of Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Fay Mehrhof, Sr. and the late John and Dorothy Wise, Jr., all of Augusta. She is a graduate of Augusta State University with a BA in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing her MBA at Brenau University. She is employed by Brenau University as the Assistant to Director - Augusta Campus. Adam is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Tresa Witherington, Jr. of Augusta. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie and Dolores Crandall of Grovetown, Ga., Dr. and Mrs. Roy and Sondra Witherington, Sr. of Sarasota, Fla. and the late Iris Louise Witherington of Augusta. He is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin with a degree in Forest Technology. He is employed by Adaptive Driving Solutions as the Lead Rehabilitative Technician and Quality Control Manager. Given in marriage by her father, Allison chose her sisters, Emily Mehrhof Sheffield of Augusta and Joanna Mehrhof Jones of Auburn, Ala., to serve as her matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Irene Joy Salet Hadden of Augusta, longtime friend of the bride, Mrs. Leigh Curley Witherington and Mrs. Maggie Taylor Witherington, both of Augusta and sisters-in-law of the groom. Flower girls were Lillian Jayne Sheffield of Augusta, niece of the bride, and Lillian Grace Witherington of Augusta, niece of the groom. Adam chose his father to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Michael Drew Witherington, Samuel Joseph Witherington, both of Augusta and brothers of the groom, Andrew David Howard and Darryl Allen Zerbel, both of Augusta and longtime friends of the groom. Special usher was Clinton Richard Luckey of Augusta, cousin of the bride. The wedding director was Rena Mobley. The photographer was Jason Thrasher. The soloist was Lee Menefee and the organist was Charlotte Jenkins. The reader was Drew Wise. Greeters were Thomas Mehrhof and Clay Mehrhof. Other special helpers were Tyler Wise and Dan Wise. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Old Medical College in Augusta. The newlyweds are honeymooning in St. Lucia. The couple will reside in Augusta.
