AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mary Elizabeth Bitting and Thomas Joseph Watkins, Jr. of Augusta were united in marriage in a beautiful double-ring ceremony Saturday, April 14, at six o'clock in the evening at St.

Paul's Episcopal Church in Augusta. The Reverend James Andrew Menger of Augusta officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Staten Bitting Jr. of Augusta.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Joseph Watkins of Atlanta.

Mr. Watkins was his son's best man. Usher-groomsmen were Neil Staten Bitting III, brother of the bride, Carlton Fisher Cook, Christopher Edward Hellmann, Ellis Chen-Mei Liu, and Joshua Michael Thompson, all of Atlanta, Matthew Dell Duckworth of Washington, D.C., brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Jeremy Donald Johnston of Nashville, Tennessee, and Zachary Scott Williamson of Memphis, Tennessee.

Caitlin Davison Vinson of Greenville, S.C., was matron of honor and Yeou-Rong Jih of Atlanta was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alisha Marie Avril and Sarah Watkins Duckworth, sister of the bridegroom, both of Washington, D.C., Samantha Marie Dorsey, Allison Kay Hood, Palmer Lynn Lawrence, and Lindsey Allison Rodgers, all of Atlanta, and Amanda Lyn Pennington of Augusta.

Mary Elin Kugajevsky of Charlotte, N.C., cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. Her brother and cousin of the bride, Connor Andrew Kugajevsky also of Charlotte, served as ring bearer.

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Staten Bitting entertained at a reception following the ceremony in The River Room at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Following a wedding trip to Sunset Beach, N.C., Mr. and Mrs. Watkins are making their home in Martinez.
