Dr. John and Barbara Bender of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts and Quechee, Vermont are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Marie Bender, to Christopher Reynolds Merrick, son of Robert and Judy Merrick of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Sarah is a 2004 graduate of Tabor Academy, Marion, Massachusetts and a 2008 graduate of the Johns Hopkins University where she majored in Sociology and Latin American Studies. She also received her Culinary Arts degree from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City in 2011.
Chris is also a 2004 graduate of Tabor Academy and a 2008 graduate of Princeton University where he majored in Physics. He is currently an engineer with RJ Metrics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A June 15, 2013 wedding is planned in Woodstock, VT. After their honeymoon, the couple will live in Philadelphia.
