Ben & Florence Rush 50th Anniversary!
Benjamin Milo Rush, Jr. and Florence Louise Baker were married on December 21, 1963, by the Reverend Harwood G. Owens at Zion United Methodist Church in Seaford.
That year they were building careers--Ben at NCR in Newport News and Flo at York High School--so they settled in Seaford and began a happy, active life with their children Teresa Louise (Terry) and Benjamin M., III (Jay).
Over the years they had deep involvement in their kids'numerous school activities and sports. Highlights were Ben presiding over York County Little League and serving as a York County Supervisor, and Flo's countless hours as a Class Sponsor and English Dept. Chair at York High and earning her Master's Degree at William & Mary.
In Retirement Ben has fished as much as possible while Flo has been a member and officer in the Seaford Woman's Club. Both love keeping up with their two smart, talented granddaughters and have an active, fulfilling church life at Zion UMC.
Ben & Flo are celebrating this milestone in their low-key style- in October they gathered the family for a special portrait and next will be a trip to the Holy Land in 2014. Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad, we love you! Terry, Jay, Greg, Laura, Joelle and Julia
