A.B. and Dorothy Lampkin celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 31, 2013 at the Goodwill Garden Center. They were high school sweethearts at L.C. Anderson High School in Austin, Texas. He is a former Life Underwriter and retired educator. She is a retired educator. They are active in several community activities including the Goodrich Center for the Deaf, the NAACP and others.
They are members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and Interpreter for the Deaf. She is a Deaconess and Interpreter for the Deaf. Reverend A.E. Chew Jr. serves as Pastor.
They are the parents of four children and have 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
