Celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. Harold Thomlinson and Mrs. Sandra Whipple Thomlinson were married on October 26, 1963 at University Heights Baptist Church of Springfield, Missouri and moved to Arlington, Texas that same year.
Harold and Sandra met while working at Springfield News and Leader in Springfield, Missouri. Harold is a 1954 graduate of Central High School in Springfield, Missouri and Sandra is a 1961 graduate of Central High School in Springfield, Missouri. Harold received a degree in Math from Missouri State. Sandra received her undergraduate degree in Math and Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master's degree in software engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Harold retired from Bell Helicopter and Sandra retired from Siemens ElectroCom.
Sandra and Harold are active members of the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington, Texas, where they have both served the church in many different ministry areas. Sandra is the church librarian. Harold enjoys golfing, and is an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Sandra's hobbies include: reading, quilting, writing and playing Canasta with her friends.
Their son, Kurt Thomlinson and wife Heather Thomlinson of Spring, Texas, and daughter, Deana Thomlinson Mastin and her husband Jon Mastin of Lufkin, Texas, as well as grandchildren, Tate and Rachel Thomlinson and Abby, Foster and Garrett Mastin, wish them many more years of love and happiness.
