Congratulations to Dr. and Mrs. Myron D. Jones, Jr. of Arlington, Texas as they celebrate fifty years of marriage. Margaret (Maples) and Myron were introduced by a family friend in the summer of 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Myron was beginning his residency in Internal Medicine. They were married on April 13, 1963 at Brookside Baptist Church in Tulsa by Margaret's father, Dr. Lewis Emerson Maples. They moved to Arlington in August of 1965, and Myron practiced medicine in Grand Prairie and Arlington for forty years.
Margaret and Myron have been blessed with four children, including Gretchen Sutton and her husband, Brad; Sarah Jones; Rustin Jones; and Joanna Pittman and her husband, Josh. Margaret and Myron are also known as "Honey and PopPop" by their six grandchildren, Shelby, Benjamin and Will Sutton; and Andrew, Grant and Maggie Pittman.
Active members at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Margaret and Myron have enjoyed playing tennis together through the years and are faithful Texas Rangers fans.
