Catherine Elizabeth Hyde and Benson Robert Hines were married on May 18, 2013 at six o'clock in the evening at The Church at Horseshoe Bay, Horseshoe Bay. The ceremony was officiated by a friend and work supervisor of the groom's, Jeff Ward. A dinner-dance reception immediately followed and was held at the bride's parents' lake home.
The bride is the daughter of James and Caroline Hyde of Arlington. Grandparents of the bride are Myrna Greene, the late Henry C. Greene of Tulsa, the late Carl O. Hyde, and Lou Ella Hyde of Midland. The groom is the son of Mark and Karen Hines of Kaufman. Grandparents of the groom are Mary Rogers of Austin, the late Calvin Rogers of Austin, and the late Bob and Joy Hines of Fort Worth.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown of ivory beaded silk, satin and organza designed by Monique Lhuillier.
The maid of honor was Leigh Ann Stull. The bridesmaids were Amber Hyde, sister-in-law of the bride, Lisa Couch, Marina Edwards, and Larissa Vogelaar. The flower girl was the bride's niece, Clarissa Fae Hyde. The house party included Roseana Smith, Shayla Coker, and cousins of the bride, Susannah Bebee, Emily Belisle, Megan Winburn, Abigail Winburn, Caroline Chick, and Sarah Beth Greene.
The best man was Steven Hays. The groomsmen were Michael Flusche, brother-in-law of the groom, Curt Baker, Chris Mathis, and Alan Poole. Usher was Thomas Hyde, brother of the bride.
Catherine is a 2003 graduate of Texas Christian University, where she was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. While attending Texas A&M University she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. In 2008, Catherine received her Master's in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently employed as a renal social worker with the dialysis division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc.
Benson is a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University where he was awarded his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was a member of Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity. In 2008, Benson was awarded his Master of Arts in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves collegiate ministers nationally and is employed by Watermark Community Church of Dallas as External Focus Coordinator.
Following a honeymoon in North San Diego's Four Seasons Residence Club, the couple will reside in Dallas.
