Lindsi Michael Cavender of Arlington, Texas and Benjamin Dixon Edwards, III of Fort Worth, Texas were united in marriage December 28, 2012 at seven o'clock in the evening at Piazza in the Village, Colleyville, Texas. A reception followed in the Grand Ballroom. The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Feedstore BBQ in Southlake.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Ann Cavender of Arlington, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Dalley of Arlington and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Cavender. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin D. Edwards, Jr. of White Oak, Georgia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin D. Edwards, Sr. of Fairview, NC and the late Rev. and Mrs. Kenneth Campbell.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a classic ivory lace gown with quarter length sleeves and subtle mermaid shape. Her veil was chapel length.
Matrons of honor were Stevi McCoy of Frisco, Texas and Nicki Hunter of Austin, Texas, the bride's sisters. Bridesmaids were Lauren Altman, Jordan Ritchie, Julia Dalley, and Alanna Preylo. Flower girl was Millie McCoy. Katy Byrne and Whitney Campbell served in the house party. Best man was Zachary Edwards of White Oak, Georgia, the groom's brother. Groomsmen were Josh Edwards, Dan Hunter, T.J. McCoy, Justin Lane and Gerard Neilsen. Ring bearers were Evan and Oliver McCoy, and Tanner Hill served as an usher.
The bride earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Theatre at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She teaches for the Arlington Independent School District. The bridegroom graduated from North Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He is employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation.
After a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
