Stephen Michael Rea married Courtney Evans Caswell at 2 o'clock on the afternoon of Friday June 8, 2018 in New Orleans. Mary Charlotte and Joshua Hebert, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and Best Man. Judge Kern Reese presided over the ceremony with levity and humor, citing that he enjoys marriages as it gives him the unique opportunity for a civil judge to hand out a life sentence.
Stephen and Courtney met on a dark and stormy October night in London when a light drizzle turned into a drenching downpour and they both popped into the same pub near Victoria Station for shelter. They have been in each other's hearts since that first encounter. They met, they fell in love and they did not let go.
Stephen is a native Londoner, son of the late Margaret Patricia (née Ring) and the late John Joseph Rea, both of County Cork, Ireland. Stephen is a master artisan tiler and owner of The Grey Wolf Tiling Company in London; he is also an avid music producer. Courtney grew up in Houston and is the daughter of Barbara (née Daigle) and Michael Caswell, both originally from Louisiana. She is a ten-year veteran with Live Nation Entertainment in the North American Concerts and Touring division.
The newlyweds are looking forward to returning to England as husband and wife to live in Central London and spend time with Stephen's son, Sami Rea.
