Laura Christine Berry and Michael James Brogdon were married October 26, 2012, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overland Park, KS. Father Don Cullen was the celebrant. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Berry of Lenexa, KS. The groom is the son of Mr. John Brogdon of Overland Park, KS, and Mrs. Terri Shaw of Lenexa, KS. A reception followed at the Sawyer Room in downtown Kansas City, MO, where guests were served Italian cuisine catered by Garozzo's. After dinner, toasts, and specialty dances, family and friends danced the night away! Laura's bridesmaids were Lauren McLean, Katie Mooney, Ashley Hall, Emily Mayfield, and Lisa Berry. Mike's groomsmen were Keith Elliot, Patrick Ward, Ryan Burns, Chris Jansen, and Chris Berry. Libby White was the flower girl, escorted by Tate Berry, the ring bearer. Guests were greeted by program and guest book attendants Megan Taylor and Lauren Barta. Shawn Roberts and Travis and Alexander Ruel served as ushers. Other members of the wedding party included candle lighters Christina Burns and Tarah Jansen, readers Mary Hall and Susan Gering, and Abby South as the bride's personal attendant. Michael and Laura rode away from the church in a rare, vintage car that Laura's late grandfather, Robert White, had earlier restored as a surprise for her own parents at their wedding. Laura teaches geometry at Shawnee Mission West High School. Mike is employed by Specialty Medical Systems as an instrument technician. Mike and Laura honeymooned in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, in early Spring. They reside in Overland Park, KS, with their dog Shelby.
